Shopping: ankle boots

Autumn is here and I need a new pair of shoes. Some people might slightly disagree when inspecting my shoe collection (hubby...), but I honestly need something that is not overly wintery (boots), yet can be worn with socks (my feet get too cold in flats now!). Therefore, I need ankle boots.

Ever since falling in love with these beauties (below) back in spring, I now need a darker pair that could be worn when out with a toddler (do they have food-stain resistant ones?), be comfortable when driving and look good when I am going to my various work meetings.

Acne
So here are my top three:

1.  It's got to be Acne again. These are just perfect.

Chesnut Pistol Ankle Boot. £350 from my-wardrobe.com

2. Gorgeous colour (not to mention great discount) - Cynthia Vincent.

12th Street by Cynthia Vincent, were £310 now £154.99, available at The Outnet

3. Simple yet cool - Ash.

Ash Jalouse, £149, available from Ash Footwear

Heatwave and What We Wore

Summer has finally arrived and settled in the city (day 6 of heatwave!). I am a huge lover of hot summer days, so we have been making the most of this glorious weather. Walks, picnics, barbecues, al fresco dinners. Oh, and what can be better than cup of coffee outside on the terrace in your pyjamas? Or glass of Prosecco in the afternoon (no need to wait for wine o'clock, it's hot!).

I wore:

Shorts (at last!) from Sisley. I am on the lookout for more shorts for our upcoming holiday. I prefer shorts to skirts, especially when I am out with Little Miss S. However, shorts also make a great evening outfit teamed up with some wedges or high-heel sandals and a shirt (just make sure they are not too short unless you don't mind being mistaken for a pole dancer).

These Michael Kors shorts are currently on sale at Outnet. They would look fabulous with a white shirt and some nude wedges.

My see-through top, which also opens at the back (it's hot after all!) is from Greece and has been one of my favourite buys for this summer.

My bra (don't normally write about my underwear but it's summer and you can pretty much see it) is from Agent Provacateur and it's one of my favourites.

Little Miss S wore:

Playsuit from H&M
Hat from Vertbaudet

Sale is still on! ;)

I love Sale! If possible, I really try not to pay the full price for the item I like. I might like my shoes and handbags but you would never see my name on the list for the newest 'It' bag. Clothes are like cars - they depreciate in value (apart from collectibles of course) so why waste your money:)

These days shopping can be quite tricky. My Little Miss S is a girl but she can only 'shop' for 20mins at the most (a bit like her father) so Harrods Sale was out of the question for me this year (oh you can pick up some bargains there especially in their shoe department towards the end of the sale) however, there is always Internet and there are some really good sites for shopping. Asos and Outnet are just a few of the sites that I like. I always check Karen Millen Sale as I love their jumpers and shirts (very sexy and feminine).

Moschino dress was my first purchase after giving birth. Reduced from £300 to £95!! I couldn't say no!! Gorgeous white Paul&Joey dress was also purchased a few months after birth. Reduced from £475 to £100, and my favourite MaxMara coat bought over 4 years ago. Reduced from £600 to £400. I wear it pretty much every day in winter!

This little beauty from Karen Millen is currently on Sale on their website. Reduced from £175 to £125. Would look great with black skinny jeans and black polo neck! Perfect for school runs!
